At a certain point in Kalum the walls stop being made of stone bricks and instead become rough and grainy, like those of a cave. This is the point where the castle-like section of the den ends and you've gone into the side of the mountain itself. This particular dark, dusty room is the home of Kalum's extensive book collection, which ranges from historical records to children's stories and are all arranged neatly on a vast forest of wooden shelves. It's lit only by a few unevenly spaced candles, and it's reccomended that one bring one's own light if one wishes to see what it is they're reading. In one corner of the room the shelves thin out and make room for a small collection of ancient armchairs grouped around a small, wooden table.
